24/25 April - Spring Italian Car Festival, Brooklands

Annual Italian car festival at historic Brooklands. Including exotic cars on track on the Saturday, historic hill climb on the Sunday and autojumble. Further info here

Fri 4th to Monday 7th June - Spider Trip to Holland

Following the success of last year's long weekend trip to Holland, we're going again! This year, the German Spider Register have been invited along too and part of the trip on Sunday will cross over the border into Germany. We'll be travelling on an early ferry on the Friday from Dover-Calais, driving through France and Belgium and on into Holland and we're hoping to pick up some members from the French and Belgian Clubs too along the way.

We'll be based for the 3 nights at the Hotel Mitland in Utrecht. The meet/drive on the Sunday will start from Hotel 't Losse Hoes in Holten, East Holland. Time of arrival between 11.00 and 12.00 in the morning. Participation charge for the Sunday is Euros 17,00 per person which includes coffee and pastry on arrival and - at the end of the tour - a collective dinner at the Hotel 't Losse Hoes.Tony from spidersweb.nl has kindly put a series of maps on his site here.

We'll be returning on Monday and catching a late afternoon/early evening ferry back from Calais to Dover. The ferry times will be confirmed shortly when we have final numbers. For the finer details as they unfold, keep an eye on the forum thread here.

To register for the Sunday event, please email your name, address and number of people in your car. The price per person is 17 euros and you can either pay by cheque (please phone or email me for the address) or pay securely online using PayPal below...

Have a look at the photo gallery for some pics of the 2003 trip or search the forum for what we got up to. Photos of last year's "challenge" here and here.

Sunday 6th June - AutoItalia Italian Car Day, Stanford Hall, Leics

The premier annual Italian car concours event held at Stanford Hall, Lutterworth, Leicestershire organised by AutoItalia magazine. There's always a good turnout of Fiats, Alfas, Lancias, Mazzas, Fezzas and other Italian exotica, with a wide range of models. There's usually a decent autojumble too. Unfortunately, the Holland trip clashes again this year, so some of us won't be able to make it. However, I think Francesco (aka "fepifano" on the forum) is going along and is hoping some others will join him. Further info on the event can be found at the AutoItalia site.

20th June - Fiat Motor Club (GB) National Day, Hatton Farm, Warwick

This year, the main Fiat Motor Club (GB) National event will be held at the Hatton Farm Park, Hatton, Warwick. We've reserved a dedicated 124 Spider stand/area. For further details, have a look at the Fiat Motor Club (GB) events section. If you want to display your car on the Spider stand (any condition) or want any more info, please let me know.

Sat 3 - Sun 4th July - The Main UK 124 Spider Event 2004 - Closing date for entries 14th June

Organised by Fiat Motor Club (GB) this has become the main UK Spider event of the year. We're hoping to make this the biggest and best gathering of UK Spiders to date and this year, the Dutch and German Clubs have been invited as well. You don't have to be a Fiat Motor Club (GB) member to join us on the 124 Spider stand although you are of course, more than welcome to become a member. Held in the grounds of the Hop Farm Country Park, Paddock Wood, Kent as part of a massive classic car show, the Farm's website is down as I type but I think the link is www.thehopfarm.co.uk. There's also further info at www.transtarpromotions.co.uk which is the organiser's website. If you want to stay overnight, you can camp there free of charge and more importantly, there's a bar. Alternatively, if camping's not your thing, I'm pretty sure there are some B&Bs and hotels nearby. For the last couple of years, a bunch of us have camped overnight with a few beers and disposable barbies and I'm up for it again.

Please note that if you want to join the Spider display stand in the main arena on Saturday and/or Sunday, an entry/registration form must be received by transtarpromotions not less than 14 days before the event. The price for display cars is £1.50 - if you don't display, you'll pay considerably more and have to park in the main public carpark outside the arena. To enter, you can either do it yourself through transtarpromotions but it would be helpful if you could let us know so we have an idea of numbers for the stand. Alternatively, if you contact either branda or jason through the forum, we can email registration forms and Jason has kindly agreed to post everyone's entries off.

Sunday 22nd August - MITCAR, Grimsthorpe Hall, Bourne, S.Lincs

The annual Midlands Italian Car Day has been running for a while now and I've heard good things about it. I'll certainly be going because it's just down the road at Bourne (just off the A1, near Stamford, Lincs). I've found some links to past meetings and will put them up here shortly. It seems to be a large gathering of all Italian cars, old and new, with many classic and exotic motors on display. If you're interested in coming, please email me or contact me through the forum ("branda").

28th/29th August - Knebworth Classic Car Show

Big 2-day classic car show with camping available. Jason's trying to sort a Spider stand out. More details to follow shortly.
