Restoration

Before buying the Spider, I did some research. Personally, I prefer the earlier models (mainly down to the chrome bumpers) and I liked the sound of the revvy 1608cc. Unfortunately, I didn't do quite enough research because my 1970 BS 1438cc with a reconditioned 1600 was actually a 1585 131 engine - hey ho. Well she purrs along well enough and I was quite content until I read Guy Croft's "Modifying and Tuning Fiat/Lancia Twin-Cam Engines"...Mild Fast Road tuning, 126bhp from the 1585cc would be nice but if I'm going to do this I may as well go for the Fast Road 2 litre at about 155bhp! Signed copies of the book are available at guy-croft.com
